Abuja {Sundiata Post} – Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly matters {senate}, senator Ita Enang has said that the All Progressives Congress {APC}members that have defected to other political parties promised to work for President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election in 2019.
Enang who stated that those decampees merely expressed intention to decamp, informed that some of them have already returned back to the APC fold.
He disclosed this on Thursday while addressing newsmen at the National Assembly in reaction to the defection spree by members of the APC to Peoples Democratic Party.
According to Enang, his pre and post discussion with the defected members confirmed that the reason for their defection has no direct link to the action of President Buhari but more to do with activities in their constituencies local politics, such as Governors, state party chairmen as well as chances of return and platform to achieve their ambition.
