Abuja (Sundiata Post) — Reports coming out from the Kano State Emirate Council, on Monday, have debunked claims that the, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has spent the sum of N6 billion of the Emirate’s fund since he assumed office.
The senior council official in charge of finance, Bashir Wali, who debunked the claims, however, told reporters that the Emirate has only spent the sum of N2.9 billion since Sanusi emerged emir in June 2014.
The Walin Kano, who made the clarification at a press conference in Kano, provided some details of the expenditure.
He also explained that Sanusi inherited N1.9 billion (exactly N1.893,378.927.38) and not N4 billion as stated in some media reports.
