A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdulraheem Owokoniran, has passed away in the United Kingdom, as confirmed by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Owokoniran, formerly the Senior Special Assistant on Works and Infrastructure to Governor Sanwo-Olu, also served as an aide to the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu. Additionally, he was a former aspirant in the APC House of Representatives Surulere Federal Constituency by-election primary.
Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed his sorrow, describing Owokoniran as a dedicated party member and advocate for people-centric programs. Sanwo-Olu acknowledged Owokoniran’s contributions to the growth of Lagos State during his tenure.
The Governor stated, “Abdulraheem Owokoniran would be missed by the entire political class, especially the people of Surulere, Lagos APC, and the state as a whole. I pray that God grants his soul eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus and provides his immediate family with the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss.”
