Abuja – An indigene of Oturkpo in Benue State , Mr Akor Otobo has called on the Governor of Ondo State , Rotimi Akeredolu to come to his aid as he battles with the recovery of his brother who was kidnapped.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja, Mr Otobo lamented that even after paying two times the amount demanded as ransome and despite involving the traditional ruler of Ikare where Emmanuel Otobo was reportedly being held hostage, his sick brother is still in the custody of his kidnappers.
According to Mr Otobo, private investigations point to the fact that the victim who was taken for native doctor treatment in the house of Prince Adewusi Adeyemi Ojo at Iru Salle Okagbe -Ikare was abducted by a neighbor to the herbalist, Sumi and one Dada now at large and is being held without his medication and proper feeding in Ikare-Akoko, Akoko north Local government area in Ondo State.
He however expressed dissatisfaction with the role played by the Olukare of Ikare, oba Akadiri Saliu Momoh in attempts to recover his brother despite all the information at his disposal.
While commending the police for the efforts made so far in tracking his brother who has been in the custody of the kidnappers since the second week of November, he called on the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu to prevail on the traditional ruler of Ikare to intervene and use his powers over his Subjects to make them release the victim.
Emmanuel Otobo was taken to Ikare towards the end of October 2017 for treatment .
