Buhari Approves New Appointments Into Agencies

Abuja (Sundiata Post) — President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday, approved the appointments of a new Board and Executive Management for the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).

Buhari’s appointments were contained in a circular signed by the Director (Press), Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Bolaji Adebiyi.

“The Chairman of the Board is Engr. Umaru Maza Maza, while the Managing Director is Mrs. Damilola Ogunbiyi.

“Dr. Sanusi Mohammed Ohiare has been appointed as the Executive Director (Rural Electrification); Engr. Muhammad A. Wasaram as Executive Director (Technical Services) and Yewande Odia as Executive Director (Corporate Services).

“Engr. Alozie Mac and Mr. Rotimi Thomas are appointed as non-Executive Directors.

“​Furthermore, President Buhari has since confirmed the appointment of Engr. Saleh Dunoma as the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN); Captain Mukhtar Usman as the Director-General of Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and Captain Fola C. Akinkotu as the Managing Director of Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).

​The appointments take immediate effect,” the circular, which was marked PPR/OSGF/PR/03​​​​​​​​, read.

In a related development, the President, also, on Thursday, approved the appointment of Abubakar Abba Bello as the new Managing Director of Nigeria Export-Import Bank (NEXIM).

Also appointed are: Dr. Bala Mohammed Bello as the Executive Director, Corporate Services and Stella Okotete as the Executive Director, Business Development.
