ABUJA – A group, Muhammadu Buhari Legacy Foundation (MBLF), on Wednesday in Abuja, urged politicians to desist from making derogatory remarks against perceived opponents.
Mr Bode Towoju, the Coordinator of MBLF, Kwara chapter, who made the call in a statement, said such comments were uncalled for.
Towoju urged politicians to stop throwing tantrums at one another and concentrate on issues that would swing voters to their party.
He said Nigerians would decide who is fit to rule the country at the 2015 general elections.
Towoju, who said that the APC was running issues-based campaign, added that the party would not join any campaign of calumny.
“The APC and its presidential candidate will not succumb to campaign of calumny against any party,’’ he added.
He called on Nigerians to go out en masse and peacefully vote their conscience the same way the recently concluded APC primaries was conducted.
According to him, Buhari is the president Nigerians have been yarning for to redress the injustice, corruption and the impunity going on in the country.
He urged all eligible Nigerians to go out and collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and ensure that their votes count. (NAN)
