Pretoria – The Chairman of Board of Trustees of the All Progressives Congress in South Africa, Chief Chuks Okoye, said on Tuesday that President Muhammadu Buhari had the potential to fix Nigeria.
Okoye told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Pretoria, South Africa that Nigerians should exercise patience with Buhari because he inherited a bad economy.
“ I plead with Nigerians to give President Buhari a chance to fix the country. He has the experience and potential to move our country forward.
“Nigerians should cooperate with the president to correct the ills of the past. We needed change and I am optimistic the country will reap the benefits very soon,’’ he said.
According to him, Nigerians deserve good leadership and Buhari has shown that potential to take the country to the next level.
Okoye, a South African-based businessman, however, called on the leadership of the party to resolve an internal problem of the South African chapter.
He said some leaders of the party were interfering in the activities of the chapter which, he said, had created divisions.
Okoye said the Board of Trustees of the chapter was working hard to resolve the problem and urged its national leadership to intervene.
The businessman called on the party’s members to join the Board of Trustees to resolve the internal problem and move it forward. (NAN)
