Calabar- Presidential aspirant, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, has called on members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River to ensure that they obtained Permanent Voter Card (PVC).
Buhari made the call in Calabar on Wednesday while addressing delegates to the forthcoming National Convention of APC slated for Dec. 10 in Abuja.
“Make sure you get the PVC because it is only with it that you can vote out the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’’, he said.
He solicited the support of the delegates and assured that he would do his best if voted to president in 2015.
“We are here to solicit your support. What I am saying is that when you vote me into office, I will do my best’’, Buhari said.
Decrying the menace of Boko Haram in the North Eastern part of the country, the former Head of State added that the activities of the sect had nothing to do with religion.
Chairman of the party in the State, Mr Usani Usani described Buhari as humble, honest and intelligent leader.
He said that the country would witness a new era if Buhari was voted into office in 2015.
According to him, the aspirant has demonstrated his concern for the state chapter by coming to personally solicit for its support.
The former President of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), urged delegates to look at aspirants that would deliver the presidency for the party rather than any other considerations. (NAN)
