DAMATURU – The Buhari Support Organisation (BSO), has appealed to the electorate in Yobe to vote for candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Saturday’s gubernatorial and state assembly elections.
Alhaji Hassal El-badawi the state coordinator of the organisation, made the appeal on Thursday in Damaturu at a news conference to canvass support for the APC in the polls.
He promised that the people of Yobe would enjoy `more dividends of democracy’ from the Federal Government if they voted for the APC in the elections.
He recalled that Yobe had not been in the same political party with the central government since 1999, saying “we can’t afford to miss this opportunity.”[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10”]

El-badawi, who is the member, representing Bade/Jakusko Federal Constituency of Yobe, expressed optimism that the state would fare well under Buhari’s presidency.
The lawmaker said that as part of efforts to ensure victory for the APC in the polls, BSO held consultative meeting to reconcile all aggrieved members of the party.
He appealed to politicians in the state, especially members of the APC to support the re-election of Gov. Ibrahim Gaidam to enable him continue with the good work he had started.
El-badawi noted that the governor had made `modest achievements’ in the provision of basic facilities and infrastructure covering all sectors in spite of the security challenges facing the state.
He commended the governor for deepening democratic culture in the state which he said, had made the APC to be `a strong and united party.’ (NAN)
