President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday afternoon met behind clised-doors with service chiefs at the State House, Abuja.
At the meeting were the Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin; Chief of Army Staff, Lt. – Gen Tukur Buratai; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Sadique Abubakar; the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas and the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.
However, the National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (Retd.) was absent at the meeting.
The service chiefs, at the end of their meeting with the President, passed by the office of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari.
The Nation was informed that Monday’s meeting, which could have passed for any of the weekly security meetings with his service chiefs, was tagged a ‘special consultation’.
