MAKURDI – The APC Presidential Candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, has promised to revive [pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]agriculture, build power plants and tackle corruption if elected president of the country in February.
Buhari made the promise in Makurdi on Friday during campaign rally.
He expressed regrets that the economy of the country had deteriorated and said it could only be revived by stimulating growth through agriculture and the construction of additional power plants across the
[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”8″]
[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]country.
The candidate also said if elected, he would work toward boosting the morale of the security agencies to enhance their effectiveness.
Also, the APC Vice-Presidential Candidate, Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo, said the wind of change set to blow [pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]across the political landscape of Nigeria was destined by God.
Osinbanjo said the anticipated change would usher in justice, free education , job opportunities and improved healthcare delivery and appealed to the people to vote and protect their votes to ensure that they counted.
The National Chairman of the party, Mr John Oyegun, said the kind of change that would sweep through the country during the elections would only be likened to “a revolution, except this time through the ballot box”.
The Senate Minority Leader, Sen. George Akume, said Benue had been absorbed by change in all its fabrics and urged the people to vote for Buhari.
Akume said Buhari epitomised security and discipline.
On his part, Sen. Barnabas Gemade expressed optimism that the party would win all its positions at the polls.
The party’s governorship candidate in the state, Dr Samuel Ortom, gave an assurance that he would deliver the state during the elections.
