Buhari rejoices with Kupolokun on 70th birthday

Abuja   –     President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the former Group Managing Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mr. Funsho Kupolokun, on the occasion of his 70th birthday on Dec. 10.

President Buhari, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, in Abuja on Saturday joined family, friends and associates in celebrating the resourceful engineer, administrator and businessman.

The president noted that Kupolokun had contributed immensely to the development of the oil and gas industry in Nigeria over the years.

President Buhari, who acknowledged Kupolokun’s extensive background in the oil and gas industry and public sector governance, expressed the hope that he would continue to avail the nation his professional and timely counsel as a senior citizen.

He also commended the astute administrator for his philanthropic gestures to under-privileged Nigerians and his commitment to improving the lot of the people, particularly in his local community.

He prayed that Almighty God would continue to guide, guard and sustain the former NNPC managing director with more years of abounding health, success and personal fulfilment.
