Abuja- The Buhari Support Organisation (BSO) on Wednesday unveiled an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) platform aimed at monitoring elections and promoting violence-free and fair elections during the 2015 polls.
Unveiling the platform in Abuja, Dr Chidia Maduekwe, the Director of Media, Information Management Directorate of BSO, said it was in pursuit of the Abuja Peace Accord.
He said the platform was established to engage members of the party to maintain operational calmness while contributing to violence free and fair elections.

“In pursuit of the Abuja peace accord, the BSO has tenaciously sustained the training of our members on how to conduct themselves peacefully before, during and after the forthcoming elections in accordance with the accord.
“The operational BSO technology platform is a step further in the right direction that will contribute in no small measure in assisting us achieve the set objectives and goals of the peace accord,’’ he said.
Maduekwe appealed to members of the organization to disregard all messages intending to confuse the party’s numerous agents across the 120,000 Polling Units (PUs) nationwide.
“BSO members should continue to adhere to instructions and verification systems using the telephone number 08186526218 or any of the four numbers at the back of the BSO scratch cards whenever they receive any SMS during this period of elections.
“The scratch cards are cards sold for N100 to raise funds to aid the campaign of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer,’’ he said.
Maduekwe said that upon receiving SMS from the BSO info_Tech. Platform, the receiver should confirm the authenticity of the SMS by sending the nine-digit PU code on the voter cards to 08186526218 or any of the other four numbers at the back of the scratch card.
He urged eligible voters across the country to come out en mass on Election Day to vote for Buhari. (NAN)
