Abuja (Sundiata Post) – President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the Senate Committee Chairman on Defence, Senator Aliyu Wamakko over the death of his wife, Hajiya Atika.
Buhari in his condolence message, noted that the loss of a wife and mother of children, “is particularly a deep pain to handle”.
Similarly, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, also expressed his condolences on Wednesday.
The former Lagos governor stated that he received the news with deep sadness.
“On behalf of my family, I express my deepest condolences to the former governor of Sokoto and his family”, he said.
Tinubu prayed Almighty Allah to comfort the family and grant the deceased Alijanna Firdaus.
In the same vein, Ex-Kano governor and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso also extended his sympathies to Wamakko.
Sundiata Post recalls that in March 2021, gunmen abducted and killed Senator Wamakko’s personal assistant, Abba Abbey Gidan Haki, in Sokoto.
