LAFIA – The Code of Conduct Bureau in Nasarawa State has urged elected and appointed political office holders to declare their assets and liabilities.
This is contained in a statement signed by Director of the bureau, Mr Bartholomew Ben, in Lafia on Wednesday.
According to the statement, elected and appointed political office holders in the state are to declare their assets and liabilities on assumption of office and at the end of their tenure.
The statement also reminded all career and pensionable officers in the state to declare their assets and liabilities at the interval of every four years.

According to the statement, Section 249 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), makes it mandatory for persons in the public service to observe and conform to the code of conduct.
The statement directed the concerned officers to collect assets declaration form and submit to the bureau in Lafia soon after completion. (NAN)
