Bus driver docked for alleged criminal breach of trust, cheating

Abuja – The police on Tuesday arraigned a 30-year-old driver, Micheal Amanzi in a Kado Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, for alleged criminal breach of trust and cheating.
Amanzi, who resides at Gwagwa is facing a two- count charge of criminal breach of trust and cheating, before Judge Abubakar Sadiq.
The prosecutor, Insp. Simon Ibrahim told the court that one Humphrey Kemah of Mayruth Enterprises Ltd, Annon Plaza, Durumi, reported the matter at Utako Police Station on June 18.
Ibrahim told the court that Kemah entrusted his Chevrolet bus to the accused for commercial purpose, which he agreed to remit N200, 000 monthly.

He said that the accused did not keep to his promise, as he refused to remit the money to the complainant for three months and converted the N600,000 to personal use.

The prosecutor said the offences contravened the provisions of sections 312 and 322 of Penal Code.
Sadiq granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000 and one surety in like sum, and adjourned the case till Aug 18 for hearing.(NAN)
