Zuba (FCT) – The police on Tuesday arraigned 32-year-old businessman, Dawiya David, in a Zuba Grade 1 Area Court for allegedly impersonating a police officer.
David, a resident of Kubwa, Abuja, however, pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge of impersonation.
The judge, Malam Gambo Garba, granted bail to the defendant in the sum of N100,000 with a surety in the like sum.
Garba said in default of fulfilling his bail conditions, the defendant should be remanded in prison custody.

The prosecutor, Mr Chinedu Ogada, told the court that Elisha Daniel of Dutse Sokale-FCT reported the matter on March 3.
Ogada said Daniel told the police that the defendant came to his house and falsefully identified himself as a police officer when actually he wasn’t.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened Section 132 of the Penal Code.
Garba adjourned the case till April 12 for hearing. (NAN)
