Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has reshuffled his cabinet, removing five commissioners in a bid to improve governance and service delivery.
This development was announced through a statement by Mukhtar Gidado, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
The statement described the decision as part of the administration’s strategy to introduce fresh ideas and energy to address emerging challenges effectively.
The commissioners relieved of their duties are:
- Dr. Jamila Dahiru (Education)
- Barr. Abubakar Abdulhameed Bununu (Internal Security and Home Affairs)
- Comrade Usman Danturaki (Information and Communication)
- Professor Simon Madugu Yalams (Agriculture)
- Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza (Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation)
Governor Mohammed expressed his gratitude to the outgoing commissioners for their dedication and contributions to the state’s development. He wished them success in their future endeavors.
In addition, the governor has submitted the names of eight nominees to the Bauchi State House of Assembly for security clearance and confirmation. The nominees, representing various local governments, include:
- Hon. Isa Babayo Tilde – Toro Local Government
- Abdullahi Mohammed – Misau Local Government
- Dr. Bala Musa Lukshi – Dass Local Government
- Usman Usman Shehu – Shira Local Government
- Iliyasu Aliyu Gital – Tafawa Balewa Local Government
- Prof. Titus Saul Ketkukah – Tafawa Balewa Local Government
- Hon. Adamu Babayo Gabarin – Darazo Local Government
- Dr. Mohammed Lawal Rimin Zayam – Toro Local Government
Governor Mohammed reassured citizens that the reshuffle is part of routine measures to enhance administrative efficiency. He reiterated his commitment to fulfilling his mandate and ensuring continuous progress for Bauchi State.
