Abuja- Alh. Bello Mahmud, the Registrar-General of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), has won Chief Executive Officer of the Year Award from AES Excellent Club.
This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Churchill Williams, Director, Public Affairs, CAC, on Monday in Abuja.
The statement stated that Dr Nike Akande, former Minister of Industries and Chairman of the AES Excellent Club, gave the award to the Registrar in Lagos.
It noted that the award was due tothe registrar’s excellent performance in his work.
It stated that the award was in recognition of his commitment to leadership, excellent provision of user-friendly services and selfless service to the nation.
Akande, who jointly presented the award with Dr Ausbeth Ajagu, President of the club, said it was to recognise performance and reward of corporate excellence.
Receiving the honour, the recipient expressed appreciation for the gesture.
Mahmud dedicated the award to the management and staff of CAC.
He pledged his commitment to the job and said that he would continue to do his best to achieve the vision of the commission to be a world class company’s registrar.
Mahmud noted that he was encouraged by the honour because it came from an impeccable organisation known for identifying and rewarding excellent performance.
The CEO of the year award was designed by the club, a non-governmental organisation, to encourage organisations and individuals’ projects.
According to AES president, this is to encourage organisations and individuals with outstanding performance to do more in their contribution towards the development of the nation in various fields.(NAN)
