CAN commiserates with Sultan ,Sokoto Govt over attack on Goronyo Market

Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has commiserated with the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, and the government and people of Sokoto State over the attack on Goronyo Market.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN)reports that the market was recently attacked by alleged bandits killing innocent people and destroying property at the Goronyo Central Market .

This is contained in a letter of commiseration signed by CAN’ General Secretary,Joseph Daramola, on Saturday in Abuja.

According to CAN , “We are also calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to ask National Assembly to amend the Constitution with a view to allowing the State as it is being done in other climes.

They said that they were shocked, pained and disappointed with reported attacks and the loss of many lives despite all the efforts being made by the government to stop the criminal elements in the midst of Nigerians.
