Abuja – The Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation, a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), is to train 100 officials of the FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
The board’s Public Relations Officer, Mallam Muhammad Aliyu, who made this disclosure in a statement, on Thursday in Abuja, said this was part of the centre’s contribution to the transformation of hajj operation.
According to the statement, the Executive Director of the NGO, Malam Salih Yakubu, made the pledge while presenting a certificate of credence to the board.`
The statement described the board as one of the most “ethically responsible ministries, departments and agencies in the country’.’
It stated that the gesture by the NGO was in recognition of the quality service delivery to the FCT pilgrims over the years.
The statement added that the recognition was after a secret independent assessment of the staff and management of the board.
It stressed that the gesture was expected to ginger the morale of the staff of the board in rendering more services to the FCT contingents to Saudi Arabia.
Responding, the director of the board, Mallam Muhammad Bashir, appreciated the gesture and pledged to continue in the rendering of selfless service to humanity.
Bashir urged the staff of the board to have the fear of Allah, as a guiding principle and remember that every human being would account for his deeds before the creator hereafter.
He admonished the staff to work and discharge their duties diligently and desist from any act capable of tarnishing the image of the board and FCT administration.
The director also urged them to continue to exhibit uprightness in their conduct while discharging their responsibilities, bearing in mind that the assignment.
He said the board was ready to partner with any organisation in building the capacity of its officials towards enhancing welfare services to the pilgrims. (NAN)
