Benin – The Chairman of the Edo State Football Association (ESFA), Frank Ilaboya on Tuesday said that the association is being rebranded for better performance in 2016.
Ilaboya told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Benin that part of the rebranding process would be to honour some sports personalities.
He explained that the rebranding would also aim at honouring them for their contribution toward the development of football in the state.
The chairman said those to be honoured include footballers, coaches, administrators, sport personality and corporate organisations that had been partnering with the FA over the years.
Ilaboya named such personalities as the Chairman of Channels Television, John Momoh, Larry Izamoje, Sunny Obazu Ojeagbase and Coach Kadiri Ikhana.
Others are Coach Austin Eguavoen, a Golden Eaglet star, Victor Osimhen and Watford forward, Odion Ighalo.

He said the award would hold at the Oba Akenzua Cultural Centre. The event would be preceded by a novelty match at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Dec. 30. (NAN)
