IBADAN – The authorities of the University of Ibadan have urged Nigerians to provide security agents with credible information to facilitate the search for the abducted school girls in Chibok, Borno State. Prof. Arinola Sanya, the institution’s Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration, made the call in Ibadan on Friday at a rally tagged, “UI Women in support of the Abducted Girls. ” Sanya said that women in the institution were also grieving over the abducted girls. She urged the people of Chibok, especially parents of the girls, to cooperate with security agencies in the rescue operation. “We have prayed and we know that God has answered our prayers. We know that the girls will be found soon. “ The abducted girls are the future of this nation and we are pleading with the abductors to free them,’’ she said. Sanya later read a letter intended to be presented to the Vice Chancellor, Prof . Isaac Adewole for onward delivery to President Goodluck Jonathan. Women and children from the International School at the university as well as Staff School came out in their hundreds dressed in red and black to participate in the rally. (NAN)
