LAGOS – The Minister of Aviation, Mr Osita Chidoka, on Monday said that improved performance would be the yardstick to assess the job of Airport Managers.
Chidoka made the assertion at an interactive session with the Regional General Managers, Airport Managers and Terminal Managers of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) in Abuja. The statement stated that Chidoka said their performance would henceforth be evaluated for greater output and productivity.
“We will monitor, measure and improve to achieve the goal of making us commit to what we want to achieve,” he said.
Chidoka had earlier met with project consultants who briefed him on the ongoing airport projects with updates on each project.
The statement stated that the meeting, which was attended by Airport Managers of 30 airports across the country, was also attended by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mr Yemi Adelakum.
It stated that Adelakum challenged them to be IT-compliant and improve on their communication lines for greater productivity.
The statement stated that directors from the ministry and the Managing Director of FAAN, Mr Saleh Dunoma, also attended the meeting. (NAN)
