ABUJA – The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Mr Osita Chidoka, has said that any operative who desired to grow in the commission must be Information Communication Technology (ICT)compliant.
Chidoka made this known after he presented certificate to over 400 operatives of the FRSC, who had undergone three-month International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL) training.
“We in FRSC have decided to make ICDL basic criteria for progress in the organisation, we cannot continue to function anymore in the analogue mode.
“We can no longer be looking through files, all information we have now is digitally stored.
“It is very clear now that the world is divided between digital and non-digital and any organisation that wants to make progress must embrace ICT,’’ he said.
He said the training was part of programme designed by the commission to build capacity of its staff, adding that it would enhance their capacity to function in a digital sphere.
The corps marshal assured that all operatives of the commission would be given training on ICT. (NAN)
