Chief Ejime Utomi dies at 101 years

Abuja- Chief Ejime Utomi, the Okwabani Aboh-Umuokwe, Ogwashi-uku, Delta, has died at the age of 101 years.

His son, Paul, former editor with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) and ex-Bureau Chief of Pan-African News Agency, said in a statement in Abuja on Friday that he died on Nov. 1.

The statement described Utomi as a charismatic self-made leader and repository of wisdom and native intelligence.

According to the statement, Utomi will be laid to rest on Dec. 29 at his family compound in Aboh-Umuokwe Ogwashi after a wake keep on Dec. 28. (NAN)
