KADUNA – Alhaji Danlami Yahaya, the Chief of Chawai in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna state, is dead.
Alhaji Babangida Bawa, the Secretary of the Chawai Traditional Council, confirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in an interview on Sunday in Kaduna.
Bawa said that the chief died on Sunday at the Bingham University Teaching Hospital, Jos in Plateau state.
He said Yahaya died after a brief illness and was 75 years old.
He said that the decease would be buried on Monday in Damakasuwa, Kauru LG of Kaduna State. (NAN)
