LAGOS – The Lagos State Police Command on Thursday assured parents, children and residents of the state of adequate security ahead of the coming Children’s Day celebration.
The spokesperson to the command, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, gave the assurance in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Nwosu said adequate measure had been put in place by the security agencies to ensure the safety of parents, children and the entire Lagos residents during the period.
“There is nothing to fear; we have adequate arrangement on ground for this and any celebration, just like we have been doing.
“We have always been assuring Lagosians of full security not only for people living in the state alone but also the state itself.
“So, I can tell you there is going to be adequate security, parents should take their children out and enjoy themselves. I am assuring them there will be no problem,’’ he said.
