Beijing – The Red Cross Society of China on Tuesday in Beijing dispatched a rescue team to Ecuador for earthquake relief.
The society said the team consisted of eight members experienced in quake relief operations.
It said further that they would hand out relief materials to the local people, help them assemble tents and facilities, and provide them life-support training.
The society disclosed that after a 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit coastal Ecuador on April 16, it immediately offered relief cash of 100,000 dollars to the affected people. (Xinhua/NAN)
