Abuja (Sundiata Post) – As Muslims worldwide rejoice in the festivities of Eid el-Fitr, which signifies the conclusion of the sacred month of Ramadan, the Co-chairman, Interfaith Coalition Conference, Engr. Daniel Kadzai, has sent warm greetings and blessings to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, his Deputy, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta and all Muslim faithfuls in Nigeria.
Kadzai in his message said under the administration of Governor Fintiri, the people of the State have united as one family, and have committed to peaceful coexistence.
He pointed out categorically that the Governor has transformed the State beyond expectations, praying that the blessings of Ramadan will continue to rest on him.
Emphasizing on the significance of the auspicious occasion, Kadzai said the long month of praying and fasting will also foster more unity in the State.
“On behalf of the Northern Christians, I convey heartfelt wishes of peace, joy, and prosperity to the Governor Fintiri, our Muslim brothers and sisters nationwide as they celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid el-Fitr.
“May this moment bring abundant blessings, renewed resilience, and spiritual fulfilment to all”, he said.
However, underscoring the profound importance of Eid el-Fitr in Islam, embodying principles of forgiveness, gratitude, and solidarity, the Christian leader encouraged gatherings of families and friends to share in festive meals, exchange gifts, and extend acts of kindness to the less fortunate.
Additionally, he urged Muslims to maintain their commitment to purity and sanctity observed during Ramadan, advising against engaging in risky sexual behaviours.
“By adhering to Islamic teachings and practising abstinence or safe sexual practices, individuals can safeguard themselves and their partners from the transmission of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections,” he emphasized.
Kadzai reaffirms commitment in pushing for ideals that will continue to promote health, well-being, and inclusivity for all Nigerians, irrespective of faith or background.“In the spirit of solidarity and empathy, all of us at the Interfaith Coalition Conference extend warm wishes for a joyous and tranquil Sallah to everyone celebrating Eid el-Fitr,” he said.
