ABUJA – Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar on Tuesday called on Nigerians to celebrate the yuletide season with renewed hope for a better Nigeria.
This is contained in statement released in Abuja to newsmen and signed by Malam Garba Shehu, the Head of Media to the former vice-president.
Atiku, in the statement, further urged Nigerians to promote peace during this season of joy and good tidings.
He said that irrespective of the challenges facing the country, Christians and indeed all Nigerians should celebrate the yuletide with hope and prayers that God should heal the land with His infinite peace.
“We should still celebrate Christmas with hope because it is a season of joy; and with prayers and deep reflections, God will heal our land and we shall prosper again.
“Irrespective of their belief systems all Nigerians should promote peace and harmonious co-existence for the unity, stability, progress and development of our nation,’’ Atiku was quoted as saying. (NAN)
