Kaduna – The Acting Governor of Kaduna State and Speaker, Kaduna State House of Assembly, Aminu Shagali has urged Christians in the state to reflect on the birth, life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
Shagali made the call in a message to Christian faithful to mark the 2019 Christmas and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Kaduna.
“With gratitude to God Almighty, it is my delight to felicitate with all Christians in our dear state and the entire country on the occasion of 2019 Christmas festival.
“This annual religious festival is celebrated globally to commemorate the birth and the life of Jesus Christ,” Shagali said.
According to him, as you join other Christians around the world to celebrate this year’s Christmas, I want to call on all Christians in our state to reflect on the birth, life and teaching of Jesus Christ.
“This yuletide season offers Christians the opportunity to emulate the life and teachings of Jesus Christ which embodies peace and love.
“We are grateful to God Almighty for the peace and tranquility enjoyed in Kaduna State.
As you celebrate this Christmas in this atmosphere of peace, let me call on all citizens of our dear state to all work to sustain the relative peace being enjoyed in the state.
“Once more, I wish all my Christian brothers and sisters in the state a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance,” the acting governor said.
