Civil Defence Corps asks Muslims to pray against insurgency

ABUJA – The has urged Muslims to offer prayers during the holy month of Ramadan to curb .

The NSCDC Commandant, Alhaji Aminu Kofarsoro, made the call a statement made available to the News Agency of (NAN) Abuja.

The corps enjoined the faithful to pray for Allah’s guidance to resolve the security challenge threatening the country’s and growth.

The statement signed by the command’s , Mr David Akinbinu, also urged residents to be law abiding throughout the holy month order to enjoy it’s physical and spiritual benefits.[eap_ad_2]

Kofarsoro identified prayers, firmness of purpose and pursuit of good deed as imperatives to reap the benefits of the holy month.

“Ramadan is of the five pillars of Islam and I urge Muslims to accord it all necessary attention by being proactive in decisions and actions that ensure full participation.
