Civil Defence Corps asks Muslims to pray against insurgency

ABUJA – The Nigeria Security and Civil Corps (NSCDC) has urged Muslims offer special prayers during the holy month of Ramadan to curb insurgency.

The NSCDC FCT Commandant, Alhaji Aminu Kofarsoro, made the call in a statement made available the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on in Abuja.

The corps enjoined the faithful pray for Allah’s guidance to resolve the security challenge threatening the country’s and growth.

The statement signed by the command’s Spokesman, Mr David Akinbinu, also urged FCT residents be law abiding throughout the holy month in order to enjoy it’s physical and spiritual benefits.[eap_ad_2]

Kofarsoro identified prayers, firmness of purpose and pursuit of good deed as imperatives reap the benefits of the holy month.

“Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam and I urge Muslims accord it all necessary attention by being proactive in decisions and actions that will ensure their full participation.
