Minna – Malam Bashir Yankuzu, Chief Imam of the Federal University of Technology, Minna Mosque, on Monday called for special prayers for President Muhammadu Buhari to steer the country to greatness.
Yankuzu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna that President Buhari needed cooperation and support of all Nigerians, irrespective of tribe and religions.
“It is not writing a long letter to Mr President that shows patriotism but by offering useful suggestions that would ensure good governance.”
We should all seek divine intervention in the nation’s socio-economic and political activities for peace, progress and political stability.”
He said the time was ripe for citizens to shun sentiments and support the government to move Nigeria out of its present insecurity challenges.
He also called on Nigerians to always wish their leaders well, to enable them to implement policies and programmes that would tally with the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
Yankuzu commanded Buhari for demonstrating the political will in ending the senseless killings of Nigerians by insurgents in the north east.
He said that Nigerians should assist the government and security agencies with relevant information that would solve the crises in Nigeria.( NAN)
