Lagos – Some clerics in Lagos on Monday urged Nigerians to be more patient with President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, saying that nothing good comes easy.
The clerics said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) shortly after the inauguration St. Mene Otubu Parish of the Motailatu Church, Cherubim and Seraphim worldwide in Surulere, Lagos.
Mr Alexander Bamgbola, Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Lagos State Chapter, called on Nigerians, irrespective of their faith, to work together for peace and stability of the nation.
“Concerning our society, we must be obedient to God, we must learn to be obedient to the word in the Qur’an and we Christian must be obedient to the word of God.
“That is when we will see a true change in our nation, we have to learn to be patient while we pray and change from within, everyone in Nigeria has to change, we have to change our ways.
“We have to obey the laws of God, we have to obey the rules of the nation, then we will see a true change in our land.
“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach,’’ he said.
Prof. Joseph Otubu, the General Evangelist of the Motailatu Church, urged Nigerians to be patient with the newly-elected ministers saying that he has hope that they will perform well.
“I have always preached that we should be patient, first it was a lot of problem about when will they get ministers, now we have ministers.

“I think that we should just give them some time, let them settle and then get on with the job, the government means well.
“The ministers should do their work with the fear of God in whatever they do.
“I am hoping that they have all keyed into the fight against corruption because that is the first condition for coming on board,’’ Otubu said. (NAN)
