The presiding judge, Mr Albert Maga, gave the order after the accused, who resides at Aso Pada, Mararaba, pleaded guilty to the two-count charge against him.
Maga, however, adjourned the case until May 15 for ruling.
Earlier, the prosecutor, PC Friday Adaji, told the court that one Sarajo Adamu of same address lodged a complaint against the accused at the Aso Pada Police Station on May 6.
Adaji alleged that on May 6 at about 5p.m., the accused approached Adamu to assist him with his (Adamu’s) Bajaj motorcycle valued at N70,000 to go to Tasha Market in Aso.
“After collecting the motorcycle, the accused escaped with it to unknown destination till he was arrested in Mararaba on May 7.
He also said that the offence contravened the Penal Code, attracting 12 years jail, option of fine or both. (NAN)
