JOS – Alhaji Mohammed Badu, Plateau Commissioner for Information and Communication, has advised losers in the just concluded party primaries to work with the winners.
Badu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday, in Jos, that every politician has his/her appointment time saying those who lost today may win tomorrow.
“Those who lost today but want to win tomorrow must cooperate with whoever wins in whichever party so that when your time comes people will also cooperate with you,’’ he advised.
The commissioner said that there was strength in unity and cautioned those who lost and were aggrieved not to abandon their platforms.
He urged them remain together to strengthen the party on which platform they might use to win in future elections.
Badu said that with the country’s unbroken democracy approaching its 15th year, politicians must be wise and learn their lessons.
He advised Plateau youths not to support politicians who lost out and were not willing to support the winners.
He noted that some of aggrieved politicians were calling for bloodshed or crises and advised the youths to steer clear of such persons saying they do not mean well for the state. (NAN)
