ABUJA – The coronavirus pandemic worsens in Nigeria with the disease spreading to Rivers State, where the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said one case has been confirmed in the state.
In all, the NCDC announced on its Twitter handle @NCDCgov late on Wednesday night that five more cases had been confirmed bringing the total number of confirm cases in Nigeria to 51 as at 11.25pm.
The statement said among the five new cases, three were returning travellers while two are close contacts of a confirmed case.
Furthermore, it said two new confirmed cases were in Abuja, two in Lagos and one in Rivers.
