KANO – The Kano State Consumer Protection Council (KSCPC) said on Wednesday that it had seized fake drugs worth N3 million at Tamandu Road, Kano.
The Executive Secretary of the Council, Alhaji Nuhu Bello, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano.
Bello said the drugs were seized following a tip-off and warned manufactures and businessmen to ensure standard and quality of their products
“We have a mandate to protect the interest of consumers at all levels. The State Government will not relent in its effort to curb the menace,” he said.
The executive secretary advised consumers to always check containers of products to ascertain their validity and expiry dates. (NAN)
