a.k.a Auxiliary, continued on Thursday at the Oyo State High Court, with the Investigative Police Officer, Mr. Idowu Akeem, tendering exhibits associated with the case. Lamidi is standing trial for murder, attempted murder and conspiracy. He was accused of conspiring with Saheed Kareem, Taiwo Tijani, Abu Kareem and Kazeem Kayode and others at large, to murder Adekunle Oladipupo by shooting on March 2, 2014, around 9.45 pm at the Iwo Road Motor-Park, Ibadan. When he was first arraigned, Auxilliary had pleaded not guilty to the charges. On Thursday, the IPO tendered a Peugeot 607 car, a Nissan Micra car and ammunition, which he claimed that Lamidi and his accomplices had used to commit the crime. While being cross-examined by the Director of Public Prosecution, Mr. Tajudeen Abdulganiyu, Akeem told the court that the exhibits tendered were the ones used by the defendant in committing the crime. The court admitted the exhibit as evidence without any objection from counsel to the accused, Olalekan Ojo. When asked by Ojo how he was able to identify the exhibits and linked them to Lamidi, the IPO explained that he recovered the Peugeot 607 from one Aremu Kabir, a car dealer at Iwo Road, Ibadan, during surveillance patrol. He said that Lamidi had instructed the dealer to sell the car on his behalf. He also alleged that one Saheed Adigun, who witnessed the shooting and saw Lamidi in the car, had given him the description of the car. Justice Eni Esan has adjourned the case to June 23, 2015 for further hearing.(PUNCH)
