ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – Mr. Justice Ademola Adeniyi of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has directed the Department of Security Service (DSS) to allow former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col Sambo Dasuki (rtd) to travel out of the country for medical treatment.
Delivering a ruling on Frby Dasuki, Justice Ademola said “Only a fit person can stand for trial and investigation.”
In his ruling, the Judge asked “What is wrong in the defendant travelling and coming back to face trial?”
He consequently ordered that his travel documents be released by the DSS forthwith, insisting “My own orders will not be flouted.”
Justice Ademola also told M.S. Labaran, counsel to the DSS, to tell his client to immediately comply with the November 3 order of the court, saying “Court order must be obeyed.
The former NSA, Dasuki had approached the court to plead for the enforcement of its earlier order of November 3 that he could travel for three weeks to seek medical assistance for his ailment.
