Ibadan – An Ibadan High Court, on Monday ordered the remand of a 30-year-old man, Mustapha Buba, accused of armed robbery.
Buba is facing a two- count charge of conspiracy and armed robbery.
The prosecuting counsel, Mrs Ayomide Alabi, told the court that the defendant, with others still at large, armed with gun and sharp objects, conspired to rob one Sunday Akuma of his Bajaj motorcycle, valued at N125,000.
Alabi said that the incident occurred on Oct. 11, 2015 at about 2:50p.m. at Egbeda area of Ibadan.
The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Section 6b of Fire Arms (Special Provision) Act, 2000.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Justice Ruth Akintola, adjourned the case until Feb. 19, for commencement of trial.
