Lagos – An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Thursday remanded two persons, Joseph Barise and Christopher Anifiok, in prison custody for allegedly robbing their victim at gun point.
Barise, 20, and Anifiok, 20, both unemployed and of no fixed addresses, were arraigned on a three-count-charge bordering on armed robbery.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Mr Simon Imhonwa, told the court that the offences were committed on Dec. 24, 2015 at 1:45 p.m.
Imhonwa said that the accused attacked one Sola Aberuagba, at her home located at Ikota Estate Ajah at gun point.

“The accused persons conspired to rob their victim after they gained entrance into her compound, they forced the doors open and assaulted her.
“At gunpoint, they demanded for cash from her. She could not however give them what they wanted, so they viciously assaulted her causing her terror,’’ Imhonwa said.
He said the offence contravened Sections 295, 297 and 328 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The Magistrate, Mrs Bola Osunsanmi, ordered that the men be remanded in custody pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution. (NAN)
