Osogbo – An Osogbo Chief Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday remanded a 22-year-old man, Olawuni Alaba, in Ilesa Prison over alleged theft of a motorcycle.
Alaba is facing a two-count charge bothering on conspiracy and theft, offences he admitted committing.
The Magistrate, Mr Ola Oladoke, ordered the remand of the defendant who had no legal representation until July 24 for sentencing.
The prosecutor, Insp. Akindele Alani, had told the court that the accused committed the offences on June 27, at Ota-Efun area, Osogbo.
Alani said that the accused conspired with others still at large to steal a motorcycle with registration number GC 395 EJG belonging to one Muraina Taiwo.
He said that the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 516 and 420 (9) (10a) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. 11 Laws of Osun, 2003.
