Lagos – An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Thursday ordered the remand of 20-year-old Emmanuel Abiodun in prison custody after he pleaded guilty to snatching a pedestrian’s bag.
The Magistrate, Mrs Bola Osunsanmi, ordered that the unemployed accused be remanded in prison pending the review of facts and sentencing slated for Aug. 13.

He said the accused committed the offence on July 22 at 9.50 a.m. at Ikorodu Motor Park, a suburb of Lagos.
“Abiodun accosted one Miss Faith Ehiabi and dispossessed her of her hand bag containing N10,000 cash, ATM cards and other identification cards,’’ Nurudeen said.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened Section 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
Osunsanmi adjourned the case to Aug. 13 for sentencing. (NAN)
