Osogbo – An Osogbo Magistrates’ Court on Friday sentenced Agboola Waheed, 42, and Alade Adesina, 40, to 90 days imprisonment for contempt of court.
The Magistrate, Mr Olusola Aluko ordered that the contemnors be kept behind bars in Ilesha prisons for their failure to appear in court to face an on-going trial.
He passed the judgment after the convicts had pleaded guilty to contempt charge and pleaded for leniency.

The judge, however, gave them the option to payN5,000 fine each.
The Prosecutor, Insp Taiwo Adegoke had told the court that the convicts committed the offence on Dec. 31, 2015, at the Chief Magistrates’ Court, Osogbo
Adegoke said the convicts failed to appear in court in a case against them with Number; Mos/ 139c/ 2015 and Mos/ 142c/ 2015.
He said that the offence committed contravenes section 133 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. 11, Laws of Osun, 2003. (NAN)
