Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Lagos State, the known epicentre of coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria on Sunday top the list of infections table with 30 patients and Kaduna second with 17 as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded 79 new cases of COVID-19 in the country.
The NCDC reported that this brought the total confirmed cases to 56,256 out of which 44,152 have been treated and discharged from various isolation facilities across the country.
Releasing the report via it’s twitter handle late Sunday night, the health agency said that the management of the novel virus pandemic has been without casualties, stressing that 1,082 deaths have so far been recorded since the out break of coronavirus in Nigeria.
