COVID-19: Lagos accounts for 144 infections as NCDC confirms 397 new cases

Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Lagos State – the epicentre of the novel virus in the country accounted for 144 infections as the Nigeria Centre for Control confirmed 397 new cases of #COVID-19.

According to the report released via it’s twitter handle account, the NCDC said the other eighteen states where the infections were reported are;

Sokoto-7

Kano-5

Jigawa-3

Akwa Ibom-2
Niger-1
Bauchi-1
Zamfara-1.

The NCDC further noted that a total of 84,811 confirmed cases have been recorded in Nigeria since the was reported in February while a total of 71,357 patients have been treated and discharged since the outbreak of the pandemic.

The agency added that 1,264 lives had been lost to related ailments in Nigeria.
