Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Lagos State – the epicentre of COVID-19 in the country accounted for 225 infections as Nigeria recorded 617 new cases of on Saturday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has said.
According to the the report released via the agency’s twitter handle, other states states where the infections were recorded are as follows;

Ekiti-4

Ogun-3
Plateau-3
Akwa Ibom-2

The health agency stated that the new confirmed cases brought the total confirmed cases to 72,757 out of which 65,850 patients have been treated and discharged.
The NCDC further stated that 1,194 lives have been lost to COVID-19 related infections since the index case was reported on February 27, 2020 in Nigeria.
