Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has announced the confirmation of 453 new cases of COVID-19 infections just as it reported that a total of 33,044 patients have been treated and discharged in Nigeria since the index case in February 27, 2020.
Disclosing the report via its official twitter handle late Saturday night, the health agency further said that out of the 453 new cases, 75 tested positive in FCT, 71 in Lagos and 53 in Benue state.
With the new confirmed cases, Nigeria has recorded a total of 46, 140 cases while 942 lives have been lost to the novel Coronavirus pandemic in the country.
